EN779: 2012 & Energy Rating - Check out claims
With the arrival of the new Air Filtration Standard (EN779: 2012) and a guidance document on ‘Energy Saving’ (Eurovent 4/11), many air filtration companies will be, and are claiming ‘development of new materials/products to meet the required standards and provide energy savings’.
DO NOT be fooled by broad statements or wild literature claims:
Product compliance to EN779; 2012 and an associated Energy Rating CAN ONLY be provided for products that have been FULLY tested by a certified independent test authority against EN779: 2012.
A resulting independent test certificate WILL advise the ACTUAL filter grade achieved, together with an accompanying document providing the Energy Class.
