Multi-Pack

The ‘Multi-pack’ filter cartridge is a combination filter designed to act both as a high efficiency secondary air filter (grade F7 or F9), - for effective removal of particulate matter, and a carbon filter for adsorption of odours/gases.

Construction:
The multi-pack utilises a high efficiency Bactiguard filter paper in combination with an impregnated carbon media. The material is ‘close pleated’ and sealed into individual filter cells, manufactured from re-cyclable polystyrol. A solid case (also manufactured from polystyrol), houses 8 filter cells to provide an effective material area of 12.5 m2 for a standard ‘full size’ cartridge.

Installation: Each multi-pack cartridge has a 20mm header to enable ease of installation for standard front withdrawal, reverse flow, or side access requirements. (25 or 30mm headers are available to suit existing installations).

Replacement/disposal: Once initially installed, the multi-pack allows quick and easy replacement of the individual cells only. Where an installation may be considered for the ‘collection and adsorption’ of ‘hazardous substances’, the complete pack may be incinerated.

Applications: Ideal where a requirement exists for the removal of low to medium concentrations of gaseous/odour contaminants together with the ability to afford a high degree of protection against bacteria, micro-organisms, and sub-micron particulate contamination. Such applications include: conditioned office environments, shopping centres, museums, airports, hospitals, laboratories, kitchens.

Size range: The multi-pack cartridge is 300mm deep, and available in 3 standard face sizes. The totally rigid design means installation can be in any ‘plane’, i.e. 490mm x 592mm, or 287mm x 592mm.

The Multi-pack provides considerable benefits when compared to conventional alternatives:

• The requirement of only 300mm depth to install. (A secondary bag filter providing only particulate protection will generally require a depth of 600mm in itself).

• The ability to handle the required air volume at a considerably lower resistance to air flow, delivers substantial energy savings.

• In terms of direct cost, the savings on unit space, installation framework, and conventional secondary filters together with separate carbon filters is significant.

For optimum installed life, multi-pack cartridges should be selected with a pre-filter having a minimum filtration grade of G4 standard.
